The questions that interrupt your day, answered by an AI agent that never sleeps.
Your clients ask about their own accounting data, 24/7, from their phone. Kipper answers in seconds from their QuickBooks or Xero, read-only, and you see every question. Your team gets its afternoons back.
Has Acme paid invoice 4471 yet?
Yes. Acme Corp paid $8,400 against INV-4471 on Sep 9. Nothing outstanding from Acme.
How are we doing this month?
September so far: $142,300 invoiced and $118,900 collected. $61,200 is open across all invoices, two of them past 30 days.
Should I take on the new warehouse lease?
I can only answer questions about what's in your books today. For that one, book time with Gary at Northwind.

The lookup tax
Most client questions are lookups, not judgment.
Balances. Whether a customer has paid. Whether an invoice went out. The answer is already in the books. It still costs your team a message, a login, a lookup, and a reply, and your client waits.
Kipper answers those in seconds, at any hour, so the questions that reach your team are the ones that need you.
How it works
Live for a client in minutes.
Connect the client's books
You or the client connects the books with admin credentials for their QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite. Kipper syncs a live, read-only copy.
Set who may ask, and about what
Each client gets its own workspace. Add the owner, the ops lead, the warehouse manager. Give each person a scope: invoices and payments only, or all of it.
Hand out the number
Each person replies to a one-time confirmation text, then starts asking. No app, no login, no portal to teach. Slack, Teams, and a web portal work too.
What clients can ask
"Has Acme paid?" Yes.
"How do I fix my cash flow?" That's you.
Kipper answers questions about what is in the books: balances, payment status, open invoices, AR aging, bills due, what a customer bought, what a vendor was paid, how the month is going. Any hour, any day. It does not forecast, advise, or guess.

Kipper's reply
"I can only answer questions about what's in your books today."
On the Practice and Enterprise tiers, you write this message yourself: "Book a session with Gary for that."
Why your clients will use it
Answers when they need them,
not when you're open.
Their business does not keep your hours
Owners run the business at 9 pm and on Sundays. Contractors are on site Saturday morning. For them that is the workday, and the question can't wait until 9 am Monday.
Seconds, not the next business day
Even the fastest accountant has to see the message, log in, look it up, and type a reply. Kipper does all of that in seconds, including the two hundredth time.
No guilt about asking
Nobody likes texting their accountant for a balance. Asking Kipper interrupts no one, so they ask when they need to instead of guessing.
The whole team can ask
The ops lead, the salesperson, the warehouse manager. Each sees only what you allow, and none of them has to go through the owner to find out if a customer paid.
Nothing to learn
A number saved in their phone. If they can send a text, they already know how to use it.
Plain question, plain answer
"How are we doing this month?" gets a straight answer in a sentence or two, not a report to download and interpret.
Your clients get an answer in seconds. You hear about the questions that matter.
For your firm
You see every question. You set the price.
Every question, every answer, in your portal
Each client workspace keeps a full log of what was asked and what Kipper said. Your firm can review every answer Kipper sends.
A daily snapshot
On the Practice tier and up, a daily summary of what your clients asked lands in your inbox. Know which client is watching their AR before they call about it.
Bill it however you like
Sell it as a line item, fold it into your monthly package, or absorb it as a service upgrade. Kipper charges your firm per client. What you charge your clients is your business.
Updates your clients never have to ask for
On the Practice tier and up, schedule a daily or weekly text to each client: Monday's open AR, Friday's cash position, whatever they ask about most. Sent under your firm's name.
Alerts when something changes
Enterprise firms set alerts on a client's books: an invoice passes 60 days, a large payment lands, a balance falls below an amount you set. You choose whether the alert goes to the client, to your team, or both.
Your name on it
Enterprise firms run Kipper fully white-labeled, with the firm's branding in the portal and a dedicated number clients save under your firm's name.
Who this is for
Built for the firm that gets texted at 9 pm.
Accountants
Client questions peak in tax season, when you have the least time for them. Kipper takes the factual ones, any hour, so your time goes to the return, the review, and the planning conversation.
Bookkeepers
"Did that invoice go out?" is the message that breaks your afternoon. Kipper answers it from the books you keep, in seconds, and you see that it was asked. Your close stays on schedule.
Fractional CFOs
Your clients pay you for judgment. When one texts you for a balance, they are paying your rate for a query. Kipper handles the query and hands the judgment calls back to you.
Straight answers
Two things every firm asks us.
"Doesn't this replace me?"
It replaces the lookup. Kipper does not forecast or give advice. When a client's question needs judgment, Kipper says so and points them to you. The client still calls you for the decisions. They stop calling you for the balance.
"How much work is this for my team?"
Connecting a client takes minutes, with the admin credentials you already have. Adding a person is a phone number and a one-time confirmation text.
Security
Kipper reads the books.
It never changes them.
Answers go out under your firm's name. Here is what keeps them safe.
-
Nothing a client asks can change the books. Kipper cannot create, change, delete, or approve a transaction in QuickBooks or Xero. The code to do it does not exist, so there is no setting to get wrong. Your clients can ask anything with zero risk to the ledger you keep.
-
Per-person permissions. The owner sees everything. A warehouse manager who may ask about invoice status cannot ask about payroll. You set the scope, per person, per client.
-
Only registered numbers. Only phone numbers you or the client have registered get answers. Anyone else texting the number gets nothing.
-
Full audit log. Every question and answer, in the portal, per client workspace.
-
