NetSuite + SMS

Text NetSuite a question from any phone

Send a text, get the number back from NetSuite in seconds. Inventory, invoices, sales orders, and vendor bills — on the phone your warehouse and field teams already carry, with no NetSuite seat and no app to install.

Kipper answers NetSuite questions over plain SMS. An admin connects NetSuite once, registers the phone numbers that should have access, and sets a permission scope per number. From then on the user texts a question in plain English to your dedicated Kipper number and an answer comes back sourced from your live NetSuite records: customers, invoices, payments, line items, vendors, bills, bill payments, inventory, quantity on hand, credit memos, vendor credits, purchase orders, sales orders, quotes, and bills of materials. Grouping uses Class or Department. Access is read-only, and every text is logged.

Kipper lets anyone text a question about NetSuite data and get a real answer back in seconds. The person asking needs no NetSuite login and no app — only a phone number an admin has registered. Access is read-only, permissions are enforced per number, and Kipper only ever replies to a text you send it.

What your team can ask

What people text NetSuite about

Real questions from people standing in a warehouse aisle or a customer parking lot, not sitting at a NetSuite screen.

"Qty on hand for SKU-9032 at the Dallas warehouse?"

Warehouse supervisor texting from the aisle

"Is invoice 10428 for Bright Harbor paid?"

Field rep checking before a customer meeting

"Open sales orders for Cascade Systems?"

Service coordinator between job sites

Who it's for

Who texts NetSuite instead of logging in

Field sales representative

Text to check whether a customer's invoice is still open before walking into the meeting, without a NetSuite seat or a laptop.

Warehouse supervisor

Ask for quantity on hand on a SKU from the aisle, on a phone with no NetSuite app and often no Wi-Fi.

Service coordinator

Confirm which sales orders are open for a customer while driving between job sites.

Branch manager

Check what has been paid to a vendor this quarter as individual bill payments, without waiting on the finance team.

Executive between flights

Text for total open AR by customer instead of opening NetSuite on a phone browser and hunting for the right saved search.

SaaS customer success representative

Before a renewal call, text to check whether the account has an invoice past due and how many days it has been outstanding.

Retail store manager

Text for quantity on hand on a fast-moving item and which purchase orders for it have already been billed, from the sales floor.

How it works

How SMS gets connected to NetSuite

Connect NetSuite, scope what each number can ask, register the phones, and the team starts texting.

01

Connect NetSuite

A NetSuite administrator authorizes Kipper once. Access is read-only, so Kipper cannot create or change a NetSuite record.

02

Scope what each number can ask

Permission sets decide what a given phone number is allowed to see — inventory only for the warehouse, AR for field sales, everything for the CFO.

03

Register the phone numbers

An admin adds a number in the Kipper portal. The user gets a one-time confirmation text and replies to confirm. That is the entire onboarding.

04

Text a question

The user texts your dedicated Kipper number in plain English and the answer comes back in seconds, sourced from live NetSuite data.

How Kipper handles access

Read-only. Permissioned. Logged.

  • Kipper never creates, updates, or deletes NetSuite records.
  • You choose what each user or team can see.
  • Every question is written to an audit log.
  • Pricing is the same on every interface. See plans.

FAQ

NetSuite over SMS

Registration, permission scopes, lost phones, and what SMS cannot answer.

No. Only the initial connection uses NetSuite administrator credentials. After that, anyone on a registered phone number can ask, which is the point: NetSuite seats run well over $1,000 a year each, so provisioning hundreds of warehouse, sales, and service staff was never realistic.
Customers, invoices, payments, line items, vendors, bills, bill payments, inventory, quantity on hand, credit memos, vendor credits, purchase orders, sales orders, quotes, and bills of materials. Grouping uses Class or Department.
No. Only phone numbers an admin has registered are answered. An unregistered number gets a polite refusal, never your AR balance.
An admin deactivates the number in the portal and the next text from it stops being answered immediately. The audit log keeps the prior history — you keep the record, the phone loses the access.
No. Kipper only replies to a text you send it. There are no unprompted messages, and our number is registered for A2P 10DLC messaging in the US.
Anything outside the record types above. Kipper does not do P&L or GL-level reporting, journal entries, account reconciliation, cash flow statements, or budget-versus-actual variance. It answers direct questions about your records rather than analyzing them.

Put NetSuite in everyone's text messages

No NetSuite seats to buy, no app to roll out. A registered phone number is the whole setup.
