Intuit publishes a QuickBooks connector for Claude and it does a great deal: create, update, send and delete invoices, set up recurring billing, chase overdue ones, build estimates, generate payment links, add customers and catalogue items. If the person in the thread is the one who runs the books, use it. The question is what happens when they are not.

How it works
How to connect QuickBooks to Claude
One person does the QuickBooks side. Then it is one connector in the Claude app, or one command in Claude Code.
Connect QuickBooks in Kipper
Whoever administers QuickBooks authorises Kipper through Intuit, once, for the whole organisation. It is read access and there is no write scope to grant.
Add the connector in Claude
Go to Customize, then Connectors, press the plus and choose Add custom connector, then paste the MCP server URL from your Kipper workspace. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner does this once from Organization settings.
Or add it to Claude Code
Run claude mcp add --transport http kipper followed by your server URL. Add --scope user to make it available in every project rather than just the current one.

Ask in plain English and carry on writing. Claude fetches the figure from Kipper and drops it into what you are already working on.
