Xero has not shipped an app inside ChatGPT. Its own connector work went to Claude, and its MCP server is open source and meant to run locally on a developer's machine, where it can also create and update records. So the results for this search are automation platforms and data pipelines: Zapier, Make, Coupler, CData, Windsor. None of them is built to answer a question.

How it works
How to connect Xero to ChatGPT
Authorising Xero takes a minute. Adding the connection in ChatGPT is three screens, following OpenAI's own instructions.
Connect Xero in Kipper
Choose Connect with Xero, sign in, pick the organisation and grant access. Kipper asks for read permissions only. Then set up the colleagues who should be able to ask.
Turn on developer mode in ChatGPT
Developer mode lives under Settings and then Security and login. OpenAI says whether you see it can depend on your account and your workspace policy, so check there first.
Add Kipper as a connection
At chatgpt.com/plugins, use the plus button to start a new one, name it so colleagues recognise it, and put your Kipper workspace MCP server URL in the Connection field.
Ask in the thread
Put the question in plain English. ChatGPT calls Kipper and the figure comes back out of your Xero organisation.

Write to Xero. It cannot create, edit or approve anything.
Read bank transactions or balances, or work out a cash position.
Report runway or burn, which both come from bank data.
Return a Cash Flow statement. Kipper supports that report on QuickBooks and NetSuite, not Xero.
