Your finance data,
one text message
away.
Text Kipper a question and get a real answer from your finance system in seconds. Works on every phone — including the half of your team that doesn't sit at a desk.
Which invoices are overdue by more than 30 days?
Found 8 invoices overdue 30+ days, totaling $41,890:
Did Acme make any payment recently?
Yes — last payment was $12,500 on Nov 14 for invoice #INV-2847.
The shift
No app. No login.
Just a text message.
Roughly half the working population doesn't spend the day in front of a laptop. Field reps, branch managers, drivers, plant supervisors, executives between flights — the people who most often need a fast finance answer are also the people most cut off from finance tools.
Slack and Teams don't reach them. SMS does. Every phone in the world supports it, and nothing about it requires an IT setup, a download, a login, or a refresher tutorial. Text a question, get an answer.
Built for any phone, anywhere
The most universal interface there is — wired up to your real finance data.
Six things Kipper gets right about delivering finance over SMS — that most "AI for business" tools don't even attempt.
No app. No download. No login.
Works on every phone — newest iPhone to seven-year-old Android, locked-down field device, hand-me-down flip phone. If it sends a text, it can ask Kipper.
Anywhere there's cell signal
No Wi-Fi, no VPN, no airport login screen. Works in a customer parking lot, a warehouse aisle, a job site, the back of a cab — wherever your team actually is.
Provisioned by phone number
Admins add a number, the user gets a one-time confirmation text, and they're in. No corporate email, no SSO config, no IT ticket — just a number on the allowlist.
For the team that doesn't sit at a desk
Outside reps, branch managers, drivers, plant supervisors, executives between flights — same answers your CFO would get, on the device they already carry.
A2P 10DLC registered, carrier-grade
Real enterprise messaging compliance — not a Twilio side project. Registered campaign, opt-in workflow, STOP and HELP supported per FCC rules, full message records.
Same audit log, same admin portal
Every text question and answer is recorded in the same admin portal as Slack, Teams, and ChatGPT — your compliance team sees one log across every channel.
How it works
Up and running in under an hour.
Connect your finance system
Link NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Xero in our admin portal. We cache your full dataset for fast queries.
Set permission scopes
Decide what each phone number is allowed to ask about. Field rep gets AR; warehouse gets inventory; CFO gets all of it.
Provision phone numbers
Add the numbers that should have access. Each user replies to a one-time confirmation text — that's the entire onboarding.
Anyone texts, in plain English
Users save your Kipper number as a contact and text it like any other person. Answer comes back in seconds.
Real questions, real roles
The texts your finance team is tired of getting.
Three roles, fifteen real questions — the kind that get pinged to a finance analyst from a parking lot, a warehouse aisle, or an airport gate. Plain text in, structured answer out.
Field Sales Rep
Closing in a customer parking lot, no laptop in hand.
- ●

- ●
"What's the lead time on backordered items?"
- ●
"Open POs to ACME Supply this month?"
- ●
"Inventory across all warehouses for SKU-4821."

"Last 5 transactions for vendor Northwind."
Executive in Transit
In a cab, at a gate, in a meeting halfway around the world.
- ●
"What's our cash balance this morning?"
- ●
"Total revenue this quarter vs last?"
- ●
"How much did we close yesterday?"
- ●
"Top 5 customers by AR right now."
- ●
"Are we behind on any vendor payments?"
Anything in your finance system, asked the way someone would actually text it. No special syntax, no command words.

Read-only & private
Built for the realities of a
phone in someone's pocket.
SMS has its own surface area: lost phones, lock-screen previews, shared devices, departing employees. Four design choices that handle each of them honestly.
-
Read-only by architecture. Kipper cannot create, edit, or approve transactions over SMS — or any other channel. There's no write path, period.
-
Numbers are provisioned, not self-served. Only phone numbers an admin has registered can ask. A stranger texting your Kipper number gets a polite "access denied" — never your AR balance.
-
Sensitive answers can be redacted. Configure server-side redaction for full account numbers, customer PII, or any field your data team marks sensitive. Masked on the phone, fully visible in the audit log.
-
Lose the phone? Lose access in 30 seconds. An admin clicks Deactivate in the portal; the number stops working immediately. Audit log is unaffected — you keep the history, the phone loses the access.
Things people text us before they text us
The four questions every SMS reviewer raises.
Won't sensitive numbers show on someone's lock screen?
Like any text message, a preview can appear on the lock screen. Sensitive content can be redacted server-side so balances and identifiers are masked over SMS while the full answer stays in the audit log. Users can also configure their phone to hide message previews until unlock — standard iOS and Android setting.
What about TCPA and A2P 10DLC compliance?
Kipper is A2P 10DLC registered with our carrier. Numbers go through a one-time opt-in confirmation when an admin provisions them. STOP and HELP are supported per FCC requirements, opt-outs are logged, and we provide our 10DLC campaign brief and opt-in workflow documentation on request.
Will it work outside the US?
US and Canada by default. The UK, Mexico, Australia, and EU countries are available on enterprise plans. SMS reliability and per-message pricing vary by carrier and country, which we'll walk through with you before turning a region on.
What if someone leaves or loses their phone?
An admin deactivates the number in the portal — the next text from that number stops being answered immediately. The audit log keeps the prior history, the phone loses the access. Same flow for resignations, lost devices, or device-replacement.
